Description
The following video is an excerpt from a longer video translating the full text shown on the left portion of the video. The translation in this video is of the paragraph below the bulleted list, beginning “CM7 offers many […]” and ending with “[…] if need be.”
In this portion, I like the ways I broke away from the form of the original text, such as showing the temperature rising month by month instead of only addressing the beginning and end. I also think the expansions I provided regarding the activities offered was beneficial to the overall message of the translation.
Reflection
The main improvement I would make in this translation would be improving my confidence through preparation. I had previously practiced with a fully written-out script, and that limited my ability to continue smoothly if I forgot a piece. Because of that, there are several instances of hesitation or missing pieces that I intended to include.
